The Florida LTAP Center is pleased to offer the Road Safety Champion Program (RSCP)
Planning and Engineering Pathway Modules

The Road Safety Champion Program (RSCP) is a nationally-recognized “Roadway Safety 101” training series. It is made for staff in transportation, public health, and first responder agencies who have an interest in roadway safety but are not safety experts.

The RSCP includes seven core modules plus career-focused pathways. Once participants complete the seven core modules and one pathway, they are awarded a Road Safety Champion Program Certificate!

(Note: courses can be taken in any order and the certificate is not a degree or professional certification.)

Road Safety Champion Program Core Modules and Pathways

Note: The Florida LTAP Center is currently offering only this Planning & Engineering Pathway for the Road Safety Champion Program. Other pathways—Maintenance & Construction, Public Health, and First Responder—may be offered in the future, but none are scheduled at this time. To learn more about the Road Safety Champion Program and the additional pathways, please visit the National Center for Rural Road Safety.

Did you miss the Road Safety Champion Program (RSCP) Core Modules?

The Florida LTAP Center has offered the RSCP core modules several times, most recently from July through October 2025. You can still catch up! Recordings of all seven sessions are available for viewing on our recorded webinar page.

If you have already completed the modules—either live or recorded—there’s no need to take them again. But if you haven’t yet completed them, or missed any, now’s your chance to watch the recordings and meet the Core Module requirements to become a Road Safety Champion.
