Course Overview

This all-new webinar series dedicated to enhancing knowledge of roadside safety design, is specifically tailored for FDOT projects! This comprehensive training covers the wide range of topics needed for the successful deployment of guardrails, concrete barriers, pier protection barriers, and crash cushions. You’ll learn the fundamentals of barrier usage as described by the FDOT Design Manual and Standard Plans Instructions, including the “length of need” design process to shield roadside hazards and help improve safety for the traveling public. This webinar series is presented by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) and the Center for Urban Transportation Research (CUTR) at the University of South Florida (USF).
