In light of the continuing concerns about COVID-19 (coronavirus), the Florida LTAP Center will continue to offer all of our trainings via remote instruction. Please visit our COVID-19 web page for updates.

OSHA defines many workplaces as containing spaces that are considered “confined” because their configurations hinder the activities of employees who must enter, work in, and exit them. A confined space has limited or restricted means for entry or exit, and it is not designed for continuous employee occupancy. Confined spaces include, but are not limited to underground vaults, tanks, storage bins, manholes, pits, silos, process vessels, and pipelines.

Each year fatalities occur in confined spaces. This training will cover how to protect those entering or working around a confined space. Attendees will learn the physical, chemical, and biological principles related to working safely within confined spaces. Attendees will also learn the duties of “entry supervisors”, “attendants” and “entrants”; the requirements for emergency rescue, record-keeping and to work in a confined space environment to maximize safety for themselves and those around them.

Each session offers 2.0 PDHs, for a total of 6 PDHs if you attend all 3 sessions.

Please note – space for this webinar is limited, and Florida local agencies are being given first priority!
