Today’s organizational changes are ongoing, especially when it comes to processes, technology, and people. As a result, it is more crucial than ever for leaders to manage workplace transitions so employees can become more change agile. In this engaging and informative session, you’ll learn how to gain and strengthen two key skills: (1) Managing the People Side of Change and (2) Executive Presence. Together, these power skills will help you increase levels of teamwork, productivity, and trust that enable your workplace to thrive.

By the end of this workshop, attendees will not only have a deeper understanding of managing transitions and cultivating executive presence, but also practical tools and insights that can be immediately applied to foster a more adaptable and resilient organizational culture

The webinar will include a presentation followed by a Q&A session, with attendees able to submit questions either during registration or in real-time. The Florida LTAP Center is pleased to partner with the American Public Works Associates Florida Chapter (APWA-FL) to bring you this webinar.

This webinar is provided at no cost and will award a certificate to those fully attending and completing the webinar. Professional Development Hours (1.5 PDHs) will be provided to those who request them during registration. Panelist Bios:

Sandy Benz, MA-Ed, ACC, BCC, Executive Coach and Facilitator: Sandy is a seasoned leadership and team coach who excels in facilitating organizational transformations that elevate employee performance. Her expertise spans the “people side of change”, collaborative/adaptive thinking, emotional intelligence, communication, and conflict resolution. Sandy’s notable 22-year tenure at Sarasota County Government included roles in leadership and team development, enterprise-wide employee engagement, and change/transition management roles. She co-designed the County’s Academy of Leadership Excellence (ALE), which has been influential for over 15 years, and created a 360° leadership competency assessment based on organizational values. She was awarded Case Study for Transforming Local Channel (TLG) and co-presented her case study at the TLG Annual Conference.

Sandy holds a Master’s in Adult Education and a Bachelor’s in Business Management. She is an ICF and Board-Certified Executive Coach, and a Certified Practitioner with multiple methodologies including ProSci® Change Management and Genos® Emotional Intelligence. Sandy offers customized webinars, workshops, retreats, and coaching, focusing on senior leaders, mid-level managers, and leadership teams. She provides assessments to refine coaching goals and enhance leadership skills. Based in Sarasota, Florida, Sandy serves clients across the U.S. through online sessions and travels for in-person engagements.
Moderator Bio:

Addie Javed, APWA FL Leadership & Management Committee Chair and Vice President, Epic Engineering and Consulting Group: Addie Javed is a Vice President at Epic, and is responsible for providing leadership, guidance, and technical leadership in the building of business practices. He is a former City/County Engineer and Public Works Director, nationally recognized by the Engineering News Record (ENR), National Civil Engineering News Magazine and Florida City and County Management Association (FCCMA). Addie is a Gator and a Spartan at heart. He has more than 28 years of technical, administration, management and supervisory experience leading diverse teams and managing multiple Capital Improvement projects and programs. Mr. Javed has strong background in Public Works, Environmental Management, Utilities, Infrastructure, Asset Management, Sustainability, Solid Waste and Sanitation, Strategic Planning and Performance Measures, Emergency Response and Operations, Operations and Maintenance, Community development and Legislative policy making.
