Mitigating Top Bicycle & Pedestrian Crash Types Using Roadway Design
This presentation includes what our top bicycle and pedestrian crash types are, the Florida statutes that governs the behaviors involved in those crashes, the roadway characteristics that are most common where these crashes occur, and how to apply design techniques to achieve the desired interactions between bicyclists, pedestrians and our infrastructure, as well as between bicyclists, pedestrians, and drivers.
