February 16 @ 9:00 am - 10:00 am

3D Models as a Contract Document & Automated Machine Guidance

Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise’s has pilot project for delivering the 3D Model as a signed & sealed contract document and requiring the contractor to use Automated Machine Guidance (AMG) for milling & resurfacing operations. This pilot project, Polk Parkway Resurfacing MP 0 to 8 (FPID 436520-1 & -3) has recently completed design and has been successfully let for construction. We propose to present what Turnpike did different from standard FDOT practices as part of this pilot project and present our lessons learned from the design and construction phases.

Presenters: Jason Christopher, Christopher NeSmith
