Symposium Webinar Series – Saving Lives! Sunshine Skyway Bridge Suicide Deterrent Project

Information on the research, planning and NEPA analyses, Section 106 coordination, Design, Construction and outcome of the suicide deterrent project for the Sunshine Skyway Bridge. Before this project was constructed there was an average of 13.2 deaths by suicide per year. This project dramatically changed that statistic and has inspired other bridge owners around the Nation to take action.
ADVISEMENT: The presentation does include some discussion on mental illness and suicide that may be sensitive and/or triggering to some people.
