Southern Transportation Civil Rights Executive Council (STCREC) Training Symposium

April 23 - April 25

The Southern Transportation Civil Rights Executive Council (STCREC) hosts a Training Symposium every two years to offer relevant training, instruction, updates, information and networking opportunities to our colleagues in the civil rights-transportation space. This year, our event is titled, Southern Transportation Civil Rights Executive Council 2024 Training Symposium-The Future of Civil Rights. We thought this title was appropriate as we all understand that our forward momentum relative to civil rights in the transportation space is ever evolving and expectations for programming and compliance activity is rapidly evolving too. These changes and the arrival of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act has provided us, as practitioners, a wonderful new set of compliance obligations and expectations.

We have invited experts from relevant areas of civil rights programming, to include DBE, Title VI, OJT, Alternative Delivery considerations and the coming changes in affirmative action. The level of subject matter expertise and federal highway involvement will add to the depth of our Agenda and provide us a robust and relevant training series that will allow for a return to our respective DOT’s armed with practical updates and informative tools.

This training is not being hosted by the Florida LTAP Center.  For details about this training, please contact the event organizer directly.
