Safe Practices for Placing and Removing Temporary Traffic Control Devices

The webinar discusses recommended practices in the installation and removal of temporary traffic control devices on multilane highways. It presents dos and don’ts for the safe installation and removal of devices thus enhancing the safety of both workers and the traveling public. The webinar also discusses the component parts of a lane closure and their requirements as per the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) and FDOT Standard Plans (Index 600). Upon completion of the webinar, participants will be able to:

  • Follow the proper sequence to install and remove temporary traffic control devices on lane closures on multilane highways
  • Apply recommended safe practices in the installation and removal of temporary traffic control devices, including the application of truck-mounted attenuators
  • Know the applicable temporary traffic control standards and guidelines

This course offers 2 PDH’s for fully viewing the webinar.
