Pavement Preservation History 101 and Asphalt Emulsions Milestones
March 29 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm
This webinar will focus on the history of roads and the pavement preservation industry. With a better understanding of the origins of our roadway network and where we’ve come from, attendees will be better able to move forward. The first half of the 90 minute webinar will delve into how roads and asphalt came about. The second half titled “Asphalt Emulsion Milestones” will walk through the history of Asphalt Emulsion from the 1900s and into the future! Our panelists will talk about how emulsion has evolved over the years including early emulsions; early emulsion uses, how emulsions migrated to the US from Europe, the evolution and impact of pavement preservation equipment, and will end with the future of emulsions.
