Modern Remote Workforce – Town of Jupiter Case Study

January 17 @ 12:30 pm - 2:00 pm

The Florida LTAP Center is pleased to partner with the American Public Works Association (APWA) Florida Chapter to bring you this webinar.

The ability of a modern municipality in the state of Florida to offer remote work options to the workforce is a highly desirable and complex endeavor that reaches far beyond the policies, procedures, and accountability of working from home, remotely, and within a structured or flexible schedule. In this webinar, we will delve into the recent study conducted by the Town of Jupiter, discussing the findings related to the establishment of a remote workforce program. We will examine both the benefits and challenges of offering the workforce the flexibility to work remotely in selected circumstances and situations. Join our guest speaker as they outline the town’s overarching plan, including the funding, phasing, and necessary actions needed to achieve the objectives of the remote workforce initiative.

Objectives:

  1. Learn about the pathway to creating an effective modern remote workforce program.
  2. Gain insights into establishing clear remote work policies outlining eligibility criteria, expectations, and guidelines.
  3. Understand strategies to evaluate budgetary impacts and compare budgetary performance with industry benchmarks and best practices.

🚩This webinar is provided at no cost and will award a certificate to those fully attending and completing the webinar. Professional Development Hours (1.5 PDHs) will be provided to those that request these during registration.

🚩Please note – space for this webinar is limited, and Florida local agencies are being given first priority!
