Ethics Training for Engineers

January 19 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am

The Florida Board of Professional Engineers (FBPE) continuing education requirements state, “Professional Engineers licensed in Florida must take 18 continuing education (CE) course hours every two years in order to renew their licenses. Of the 18 hours, one hour must relate to the Florida laws and rules of Professional Engineers from a Board-approved provider, and one hour must relate to professional ethics.” The Florida LTAP Center is pleased to partner with instructor, Larry Hagen, to offer this webinar.

This one-hour session will cover the basics of ethics for engineers and why ethics are important. Attendees will learn the basic philosophical underpinnings of ethics and receive resources for more information on ethics. All Florida Professional Engineers (PEs) must complete one hour of Ethics in order to renew their engineering license.

🚩 It is important to note, the webinars below are offered at no-cost and will only provide a notification of completion for those viewing at least 50 minutes of the training. Attendance will be verified through the GoToWebinar post-webinar report and notification of completion will be provided to attendees via email approximately one week after the training. Due to special processing requirements, attendees will need to pay $5.00 per training and submit a written exam to the instructor to obtain the PDH certificate required for FBPE continuing education. The payment will need to be made online directly to the instructor and instructions for payment will be provided along with the notification of completion.
