Access Management for Local Agencies

The local practice of access management ranges from simple ordinances to systemwide regulatory plans that integrate all modes of transportation. This interactive webinar will examine these practices and provide practical guidance on how local government agencies can effectively manage roadway access through the planning and development review process. Typical regulatory requirements for access management and right-of-way preservation at the state and local government level will be discussed, along with the need for state and local coordination. Case examples and resources will be identified, as well as legal and right-of-way considerations.

Target Audience: The target audience for this webinar is local, state and private sector personnel with responsibility for transportation and land use planning, development review, and access permitting. These include planners, development services personnel, engineers, consultants, public works directors, managers, and transportation agency personnel.
