Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
How do I find my certificate?

In the above box, enter your email address. A full email address is required, as the system will not accomodate partial searches. The email address is not case sensitive (for example, you could enter person@website.com or PERSON@Website.com, and both would give you the same result).

After entering your email address, click “FIND CERTIFICATES”. A page will load displaying a list of certificates that have been issued to you.

How do I download my certificate?
Once you click “Find Certificates” above, a page will launch that will list all certificates we have for you in the system. In the far right column, click “View PDF” and your certificate will be generated in the browser window.

You have the option to download the certificate, by clicking on the icon showing a down arrow, or you can print the certificate, by clicking on the printer icon.

I can't find my certificate

LIVE WEBINAR
After attending a live webinar, please allow the Florida LTAP Center approximately 2-3 weeks to upload your certificate to this system. 

RECORDED WEBINAR
After viewing a recorded webinar and submitting a certificate request, please allow the Florida LTAP Center approximately 2-3 weeks to upload your certificate to this system. 

What types of certificates are issued?

The Florida LTAP Center offers two types of certificates:

  • Certificate of Completion (CoC): This certificate is provided to participants who attend a training session in full and serves as official confirmation of participation.
  • Professional Development Hour (PDH) certificate: This certificate documents the number of Professional Development Hours (PDHs) earned and may be used to meet continuing education requirements for engineering license renewal through the Florida Board of Professional Engineers (FBPE).

The certificate type issued is based on the type requested during registration (live sessions) or in the certificate request form (recorded webinars).

We will only issue one certificate for each training, either a CoC or PDH. If you receive a CoC, if you instead require a PDH certificate, please contact us and we can make the correction.

If you are outside of Florida, please contact your out of state board to verify if they accept Florida PDHs.

My name or other information is not correct on the certificate. How do I correct that?
For Live Webinars, the certificates are generated based on the names you provide to GoToWebinar during registration. For Recorded Webinars, the certificates are generated based on the name we received in your certificate request. We are happy to make a change for you, please click here to send us an email and we can update your certificate and we can update your certificate in the online system.
My email address has changed
If you have a new email address, please contact us and we can update your address in our system. When you email us, please provide the old email address(es) and the new one.
How can I remove my information from this system?

If you would like for us to remove your information from this online certificate lookup system please email us (FloridaLTAP@usf.edu) or call us (813-974-4450) and we will be happy to do so.

PDH ONLY: How do I report my PDHs to NCEES under the new Florida Board rules?

Florida LTAP is an exempt provider and is not listed in the NCEES portal. However, this will not prevent you from uploading your certificates. The Florida Board of Professional Engineers (FBPE) now allows engineers to use non-listed providers to complete their continuing education. If you encounter any issues uploading your certificates, please contact NCEES for assistance: https://ncees.org/about/contact/

PDH ONLY: When did the new certificate requirements go into effect, and where can I learn more?

The updated rules from the Florida Board of Professional Engineers (FBPE) went into effect on May 26, 2025. The new requirements apply to all training courses completed on or after this date, ensuring compliance with Rule 61G15-22.012(1)(c), Florida Administrative Code. PDH ONLY: What information is now required on certificates, and what if I registered for a course before these changes were implemented?
PDH Certificates issued by the Florida LTAP Center for tranings on or after May 26, 2025 now include the following:

🔸Course name/topic
🔸Presenter name(s)
🔸Date of class
🔸Number of PDHs awarded
🔸Brief course description

Please note – Florida LTAP Courses do not have a course number, so this is not included on our certificates.

If you registered for a course in or before June 2025, your PE number was not collected. Please email us with your name, course, and PE number, and we will update your certificate accordingly to ensure it is accurate and compliant.
