Vik Bhide has over 20 years of research, consulting, and local government experience in urban mobility. As Director of the Mobility Department, his duties include oversight of the City’s transportation, parking, and stormwater portfolios. Vik also leads the City’s Intersection of Innovation program which assists local startups in doing business with City government. He also serves as a Board member for ITS Florida and Board Member for the Museum of Science and Industry (MOSI).

Vik worked on behalf of the City of Tampa to partner with FDOT and USF’s Center for Urban Transportation and Research to form the Tampa Bay Smart Cities Alliance, a public-private-academic alliance to pilot and grow transportation technology initiatives.

Stephen Benson serves as the Director of City Planning for the City of Tampa. He joined the City of Tampa Mobility Department in 2019 to coordinate strategic planning initiatives for Transforming Tampa’s Tomorrow. He is responsible for leading citywide planning programs and community planning initiatives, including updates to the Comprehensive Plan and Land Development Code.

Stephen has over 10 years of experience in the transportation and planning industry in Florida, first as a government consultant and then serving in traffic engineering, roadway safety, and management roles at FDOT District 7. Stephen holds degrees in Geography and Urban & Regional Planning from USF. He served as a past Chair of the Sun Coast Section and Executive Committee Member for APA Florida and has also served on the board of the Hillsborough County City-County Planning Commission.
